We're Frutalia

In 1995 a Colombian family, linked by tradition to the fruit sector, animated and directed by his father and entrepreneurial teacher Antonio Maria Cortés Robles, promoter of the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in their children, starts the cultivation of fruit trees in the family farm in the department of Boyacá. Her eldest daughter, Food Engineer, elaborates small production of homemade canned with the first harvested fruits, along with her husband, Agronomist, who assumes the technification of crops while her brother is in charge of marketing. Thus, the family formally starts a microenterprise in the city of Tunja, Colombia, since then, thanks to the quality and natural attributes of its products.

Thereby, during the first decade of existence, the FRUTALIA company, by observing its surroundings, achieved the industrialization of a local custom “the preparation of hot fruit drinks”, making it the successful FRUIT AROMATICS product: liquid fruit in practical envelopes of Instant preparation. Frutalia quickly reaches wide acceptance of the regional and local market for this innovative product that offers new healthy alternatives to the consumer, positioning itself in the country's chain stores as the leading company in its category. During this period the company receives some * recognitions from important national entities, newspapers and magazines that highlight its achievements, merits and its innovative and entrepreneurial nature. It also strengthens its relationships with regional fruit growers by advising and guiding their cultivation techniques and good agricultural practices.

By 2005 the Frutalia company achieves one of its great goals and is the construction of its own modern processing plant in order to expand and conquer new markets and strengthens the innovation area by offering consumers new healthy alternatives with Our Colombian fruits. During that second decade Frutalia launched new aromatic fruits such as stevia varieties, herbal flavors and black tea and green tea lines. It also begins its corporate social responsibility program in the Alto Ricaurte region of the department of Boyacá, supporting the development of olive growing in this region, one of the few in Colombia suitable for olive cultivation, a promising species for the recovery of degraded soils and an alternative for families of the region.

Starting its third decade in 2015, the company has already expanded its production plant, generates 30 direct jobs and multiple indirect jobs in the rural sector as fruit growers, in the commercial area in logistics and marketing, in supplies of inputs and materials Premiums among others. Frutalia takes its first steps towards export markets, renews its corporate image and launches new products by increasing its portfolio, for various moments of consumption, such as the fruit bases for cocktails, for culinary, for snacks, and in the year 2019 the exquisite blend of fruit with coffee and the healthy aromatic fruit sweetened with panela.
